The Department, through the Tennessee Valley Trades and Labor Council, has maintained contractual relations with the TVA for nearly 60 years. During this period, TVA construction and maintenance needs have created thousands of jobs for building trades craft workers and has kept its utility rates low to benefit all residents of the valley.
